More Peeks: Teen Girl Room

Y’all! I just can’t wait another day to share little look into Emily’s room. It’s been a long, piecemeal process with me working on projects in between deadlines. Happily, I think we have now come to a place where we can call it done!

Teen Girl Room

I’ll be doing a full reveal at the end of next week and I’ll be sharing the details on all our thrifted and DIY treasures.

I’ll give you a hint at my favorite project now though… see that little ottoman? Come in a little closer, yeah, that little leather cube? My little DIY heart is happy!

Hope you are having a great weekend! Looking for a fun way to spend some time this afternoon? Check out the #YourHomeStyle for more inspirations, and of course you can “heart” my photo too!

Oh, and if you can’t wait for more, I have already shared the tutorial for DIY Dotted Duvet.

Love the room, the light and fresh look! The bed post is my absolute favorite part! 🙂 Love the reading chair, it just invites you to want to snuggle in and read a book! 🙂

I always love the metal headboards/foot-boards. And I love the look with the neutrals all around. You have such a great design eye. I’m so glad you share it with those of us who aren’t so talented.

That room screams sunshine and light! I love the vibe. As a military spouse, we rent a lot so I currently HATE white walls, but love how crisp and clean that all looks. We bought our house this time so we could paint and decorate. It is a lot more fun in theory, but I love how my projects turn out too!

I really love the bed but what did you mean it didn’t have the right amount of support when you started with it? I have an antique iron bed very similar to yours but I cannot think of a way to make a sturdy support system for the mattress to sit on…I do not have the old flat springs that were used back in 1902. I’m hoping that you can share with me your ideas of how to fix this as I really am fond of this “road side treasure” I have worked so hard to restore, and want to use it in my “new” room. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that my room will look as amazing as yours.

Ruth, We attached wooden slats across the bed and attached them to the metal frame with screws. This worked great and is what the box spring sits on.

      Hope that helps!
