Spring Art and the Blue and White Mantel

Spring is slowly making an appearance and I am ready! Aren’t you? My talented blogger friends are ready to, so be sure to check the link up to their inspirational vignettes and mantels!

This year, with my newly refreshed mantel I wanted to go bold for spring! I can’t think of a better way to add a pop of color than with a vibrant yellow abstract painting.

This modern art infused new life into my traditional blue and white collection on the mantel. I will always love blue and white pottery, but I am continually looking for ways to update the classics.

It’s an easy DIY that anyone with a desire and an afternoon can paint.

Check out the video tutorial below for complete how-to.

If yellow is not your choice for spring then try pink or lime green!

Yellow is the perfect compliment to my blue and white pottery collection.

Throw in a vase full of bright tulips and palm branches and you’ve got a fresh look for spring! The moss balls are a hint to something else showing up in my spring decor too!

Today some of my friends are sharing their beautiful and inspiring Spring mantel decor or a Spring vignette. Hop over to see what they are sharing…
