What could be more relaxing than watching your fav

What could be more relaxing than watching your favorite shows from the bathtub? But the problem is how to keep your iPad or tablet safe. So, I designed and built a bathtub tray that holds the tablet securely and won't slip or move if bumped. Now, ALL of my bathroom dreams have come true!

I designed and built a simple, beautiful and super safe holder for my iPad because I really enjoy watching design, cooking or gardening shows while in the tub!!⁠

So much thought and care went into this little project. I wanted to be absolutely certain my iPad would be safe. I also wanted it to look simple with a furniture like quality to suit the room. ⁠

AND that tree!! This Ficus Nitida was very happy for quite some time. I got her back in July and she's grown taller already. ⁠

The house is full of now green hydrangeas in hopes of a bounty of dried beauties for the fall.

Did you know once the blooms green up they will dry in the vase reliably and can be saved forever? I learned this by accident a few years ago. I keep a box in my attic full of them. This year I wanted to save smaller blooms too.

Before and after. When you start with new construction of course the before was fine. But why stick with fine when you what your heart desires a proper tub and heated floors. (Once you live with heated floors sits hard to go back. )

While we did demo the existing floors, and I hate to see good things go to waste, we have been able to help several people in our neighborhood save their floors. The extra original tile the builder left in our attic can now go to good use elsewhere. That at least is some consolation.

Bring in the summer blooms. I had a feeling I needed to save from the storms and enjoy them inside too. For cut hydrangeas, be sure to remove the leaves. After cutting the stem to the length I need, I make cuts up the stem to allow more water into the stem. Refresh vase with hot water to perk them back up.
