I had been doing well and lost a couple pounds since we got back from Colorado. I was extremely happy. I finally think the thyroid medicine is working. I don’t really mind dieting. I never understood why I wasn’t successful. Happy to know it wasn’t my fault. Usually I use Spark People and count calories, focusing on good carbs and limiting sugar.
Right now, I’m trying something different. My husband heard about this program from a friend of ours who were raving about the health benefits and their success with a program called Isogenix. Well, he bought a 9 day supply and I’m the guinea pig. The first day was kind of hard. I was hungry. I probably didn’t eat enough at lunch. The second day was better and I was feeling really good. (I even had the energy to run 4 miles in the neighborhood, which is really hilly.) Basically, it’s a shake in the morning and in the evening and a 400-600 calorie lunch. The shakes are fine, but you really need to add some fruit to them to make them taste good. Today is my “cleanse day”. I’m doing okay (it’s lunch time now). You are supposed to do 2 cleanse days in a row, but I don’t think I can do that. I know I’m going to want food tomorrow. 🙂 I do feel like it’s totally going to be worth it.
