Twilight Snow

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone!  I’m here today to share a snow covered layout with you.  I do wish we could all have white Christmas this year, but even if that’s not a possibility where you live this basic layout can easily be adapted to any theme, any time of year.

For this particular layout, the falling snowflakes completely mimic the photos.  I often like the layout to be an extension of the photos.

All in all, it’s a pretty simple design.  A little mist, a collection of fabulous patterned papers and vellum, stitching and snowflakes.

And like I mentioned before, the snowflakes could be flowers, Christmas ornaments, baseballs or any sort of embellishment that would accentuate your photos.

Here’s a close up.  I actually didn’t even adhere the flakes and dots to my page.  I just held them in place and started sewing.

Here’s a tip for sewing over bulky chipboard letters. Reduce the tension as if you were making a basting stitch and go slow.  If the needle refuses to budge, go at it manually until you get over the patch that is too thick.

Again, I wish each and everyone of you, my fabulous readers a Very Merry Christmas!!

Thank you for subscribing to Paper Daisy Designs. Please continue reading on the blog. I appreciate having you as a reader.
