Seasonal Simplicity Spring Home Tour

Welcome! I’d love for you to join me for a first look around our home for spring. After a gloomy winter, spring has me all set for lighter colors and all things floral and botanical! I can’t wait to get out in the yard too!

But the tour doesn’t stop with just a look around my house. Nope I joined with 37 other bloggers to fill your inspiration bucket with spring goodness! Be sure to visit each one linked at the end of the post! And special thanks to Krista at the Happy Housie for organizing these inspirational seasonal tours!

I wanted to do something a little different on the front door this year. I found these hanging baskets at JOANN Stores and knew they were just the thing. I find that most green wreaths tend to blend into the black door, so the light straw color provides a beautiful contrast to the black.

To be honest, they need to be moved up a little bit higher so they don’t get bumped coming in and out the door. Now that we have a puppy, @readyfreddiedoodle we tend to use these doors much more than we had in the past. So, if you decided to make an arrangement like this just be conscious of how much you use the door.

We refreshed the foyer in the fall and I still love this look so much that I brought everything back just how it was before halloween. There might eventually be a few changes for spring in here, but this is how it looks for now. (Well, on the days the bench isn’t covered in miscellaneous items from around the house. )

Spring with Blue & White in the Dining Room

I don’t always set a spring tablescape, but this year I wanted to move most of my blue and white collection into the dining room. I thought the patterns would really pop against the teal walls.

I curated a collection of blue and white for my Amazon Influencer page here. It can be an easy way to start a collection or add to your existing collection. I love searching out blue and white but recently collectors have been scooping up the best looking pieces fast!

I kind of love it! Don’t you? I may not ever style the dining room any other way. Come back next spring and it might look just like this!! :

To give the blue and white a touch of the botanical look I seem to be craving this spring, I stuffed little button ferns into two of the blue and white canisters and moss balls in bowls.

Ferns & Botanicals in the Living Room

If you were here last week, I shared my spring mantle. You saw the fullness of my botanical vision come to life. Visit the blog post here for the tutorial video, sources and be inspired by a round up of spring mantles.

Across from the mantle, the dark grey velvet sofa received a few soft, tonal floral pillows to lighten the look. I bet you would never guess this sofa is from Ikea? That’s right! It’s the Farlov in the Djuparp dark grey velvet. We find it very comfortable, so much so that I’m thinking of getting another one! The cost is more than the traditional slipcover, but the velvet is very soft and I think very high quality.

I created this gallery wall last spring and have swapped out the botanicals each season since. These are a collection of free printables from On Sutton Place and I just love them.

To tie the two sofas together, I found pillows in a similar soft linen blue stripe. (The stripe pillows are available here. )

Thanks for taking a look around my home this spring! Be sure to subscribe to the blog and follow me on Instagram to never miss an inspirational project or post! I’ll be sharing more spring goodness in the coming weeks!
