Let’s get right to it, shall we? Here’s the menu board this week.
Monday: Labor Day, Burgers and Brats
Simple holiday food. I forgot to plan for sides so not really sure what I’m going to do there. I did buy some beautiful grapes. That will have to do!
Tuesday: Chicken Gyros
This is a new to us recipe from Annie Eats I have made something like this before, but I’m really excited about the tzatziki sauce.
Wednesday: The teenagers will eat at church and we’ll have leftovers before a meeting.
Thursday: French Dip Sandwiches and fruit salad
One of the few recipes I do really like from the crock pot. I’ve been making this for quite a few years.
Friday: Dinner with friends, I’m sure I’ll make something to bring, but have no idea what yet.
Saturday: Leftovers
Sunday: One Pot Chicken Tacos
I know this was on the menu last week too, but I didn’t end up making it because I made the recipe below.
Recipe Update:
I made a huge pot of Louisiana Red Beans and Rice to bring to church on Wednesday night. Enough to feed at least 30 hungry teenagers! I’ll be updating the recipe with proportions for a crowd in the next few days. It was surprisingly well received by our Midwestern teenagers at church. 😉
