The crazy is almost over

I can honestly say, the crazy is almost over around here.  The piles of tools in nearly every room have been cleared, our master bathroom has both hot and cold running water, my many cookbooks have found shelves and today the quartz counters will be installed in the kitchen! Hooray for progress!

It must seem like I moved to Birmingham and fell off the face of the earth.  (In the case of our house, maybe I fell down the driveway! )

Well, not to worry after I return from the Haven Conference next week, I know I’ll be less overwhelmed and be more inspired to get back regular posting.

Haven Newbie
I promise have been busy photographing projects along the way, so there’s no shortage of information to share.  I couldn’t bring myself to write when things were such a mess. And up until recently, none of the projects were completely done or presentable.

Our master bath is almost ready for the Phase 1 reveal.  I didn’t mention we were remodeling it the same time as the kitchen did I?

That’s when the multi-room-remodeling-overwhelmed feeling started. Once the faucets started to leak, replacing the counters, painting the cabinets became another project that got moved to the top of the priority list.

A great result of that calamity was the partnership I developed with a fantastic company, Premier Surfaces. I was first impressed with their large selection and great prices of remnant stone.  I chose a honed granite for the master bathroom that is stunning and then when I couldn’t fit a new stove in the kitchen, we ended up ordering quartz counters for the kitchen.  Please be sure to check the many locations to see if there’s one near you. I’m proud to have them as my first local sponsor here in Birmingham!

I’ll post more complete photos and details on both of the projects soon, but I wanted to acknowledge them for the fine work they have done so far.

Here’s a sneak peak!
