This handy C-table is the perfect companion for many different living areas with a confined space. Use it as a laptop table, a snack table or even as a bedside table in a dorm room. The unique function of this table is that it can be folded down when not in use and stored away.
The idea for this table was born out of necessity. We gained a similar table in our media room this summer while our son was home from college. We enjoyed the extra tabletop surface, but only sometimes.
When we watch tv as a family, we prefer to use a small ottoman in the middle of the sectional. The problem is what do we do with the table? We were stuck with an extra piece of furniture cluttering up the space.
While the shell of the table is a pretty simple build, using only half a sheet of PureBond Plywood. It is the moving parts that take a bit of coordination. Not to worry after many hours of problem solving, as well as, trial and error, I’ve got it all figured out for you!
With the resulting addition of swing out supports and peg/hole connection, the table becomes quite sturdy and stable. Esthetically, I think they work with the clean-linned design. The perfect table for a tight space.
