Sunday Scenes from the Trail

I’ve been busy this week finishing up a project I’m sharing later in the week, but I didn’t want the week to go by without posting, besides Menu Plan Monday.

Outside of being passionate about my God, my family and my endless pursuit of creative endeavors, I’m passionate about finding time to run on the trail.
There’s not a time I go to the trail, that I don’t think about how lucky I am to have a spot like this to exercise. Occasionally, I’m so moved I actually stop and enjoy the amazing beauty of life around me.

I usually run with our goldendoodle, Tucker.  He so good. He knows how to pose on the trail.

Recently, we have had to take a little break from running longer distances together in the heat.  He’s getting older and he had an incident with overheating last month.  It was super scary and we are really lucky we didn’t lose him.

But he was ready to go back and I made sure it was a nice cool morning to return to the trail.  He looks happy in that photo doesn’t he?

It was lonely running without him, so glad he’s back.

I spent some time riding my bike on the trail too.  It’s a great way to enjoy the trail when it’s really hot.  The wind in your face makes the heat bearable.

Hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed these photos.

Please come back this week, because I’ve got a good one to reveal this week. 😉
