Here’s to a long weekend! Do you have big plans? I think I may reach a point this weekend in this room makeover where some “new” furniture can move into place.🙌🏻🙌🏻 Sorry I’ve been a little quiet over here. I’ve been feeling like I needed to put some 🔥under my rear and get this room into shape. Hooray for working hard and getting it done on the @oneroomchallenge. I am also looking forward to less piles of tools on the floor, the dining table and on the kitchen island.

Here we are, Week 3 of the One Room Challenge! I am super excited to share a pretty little nugget from the room. This one wall looks great with it's Tudor style panel moulding installed from @novobp. Do not misinterpret this photo to mean the room is complete and all is super neat and tidyThe rest of the room still looks like a construction site!⁠⠀

And can we talk a minute about the other little sneak peek you are seeing here? The Veles Table Lamp in Andesine is absolutely stunning atop the Kimbrough Dresser from @apt2b I can not wait to share a full look at this spot in the room. It is looking so lovely. ⁠⠀

Do you have a favorite “go to” paint color? If you would have asked me a year or so ago, I probably would started answering with the most recent dramatic color I used to transform a room. But it turns out, based on the number times I have used this color, that my favorite paint color is actually a soft grey, On the Rocks by @SherwinWillams. I first fell in love with this color when I chose it for our master bathroom, then I painted the master bedroom. In our new house, I transitioned to painting all the trim with On the Rocks. Now that I am installing Tudor style paneling in the living room and dining room, for the @oneroomchallenge, it just made sense to keep the color consistent.⠀

Happy weekend! Off for a morning hike in the woods

Happy weekend! Off for a morning hike in the woods and then back to the #oneroomchallenge. What about you? My goal for today? Get the upper portion of the fireplace moulding finished so we can hang the Frame TV back. I don’t watch too much tv, even with the quarantine, but I do miss the art! But, I do know someone who is missing it, so I better get on it.
We finished our kitchen last fall for the @oneroomchallenge. Leaving the little details off during our build was the best decision ever. DIY’ing the brick, adding the open shelving, installing upgraded hardware actually saved us so much money in up-charges. See all that we did and the “before” through the link in the bio.

While we moved and the room is different, all of the furniture I loved and gave new life then, came with us. The challenge for a future date is how to create something as lovely and completely yet, be completely different. ⁠⠀
